This collection is slow music for the Anthropocene, a project series of four collections of long-form, slowly evolving works. These four suites are deeply inspired by the natural world, and time spent in the slowness of the Canadian and Arctic winter, when much of this album was recorded.
These tracks were recorded as a series of meditative, very-long (50+ ft.) tape loops, using only one synthesizer: The deeply inspiring Moog One. Each of the 16 tracks here unfolds over its 10+ minute runtime: different melodies and textures emerge, intersect with one another, build, and dissolve over minutes. It's over 3 hours of glacial ambient music compositions, and the product of slowing down, and reflecting, on humans' relationship to our lived environments.
